Seasoned Man

Excerpt:

Ladies, I’m a seasoned man with a walk, don’t run mentality. A seasoned man who knows how to use the finesse acquired through years of trial and success.  I know how to hold you, I know how to touch you, I know what to whisper in your ear.

Writer’s Notes:

When I was 21, I was convinced that I knew it all about everything.  EVERYTHING… there was nothing that I could be told.  I was an absolute stallion.  I thought that anyone over the age of 35 was ancient.  True I had skill but no experience.  I had stamina but no form.  I had knowledge but no wisdom. I’m sure that many of you “Seasoned” brothers can relate to what i’m saying.   Now that I am a “Seasoned” I realize that skill without experience is useless, knowledge without wisdom is dangerous, stamina without form is actually harmful in the long run.

Blue Collar Brother

Excerpt:

I’m a blue collar brother who tried to please a hard to please woman.  I was always out there scratchin’, tryin’ to make a dollar outta 15 cents just so I could give her the life style she craved.  But I would always seem to come up short.

Writer’s Notes:

Do you know you?  Seriously… do you know who you are as a person?  Do you know who you are as a man?  The vast majority of our troubles come because we have no idea who we actually are and we are busy trying to be what we ‘think’ the world wants us to be.  We try to drive what we ‘think’ the world wants us to drive and we try to love who we ‘think’ the world wants us to love.  All because we don’t know ourselves.  When you know yourself you know what you can and cannot handle.  You know what is good for you and what is bad for you.  You know when you need to continue with something and when to call it quits.

Listen fellas, when you come across that woman who doesn’t accept you for who you are but you stay with her because she ‘looks’ good on your arm you’re only hurting yourself.  “No matter how much you care for a woman always know when to draw the line to keep your dignity in tact.  Don’t be past possessed, be forward focused and go find a woman who appreciates who you are.” BUT… you have to know who you are first.

Confused

Excerpt:

I….loved her… but I didn’t love her enough. And after giving in to the gut wrenching pain that I inflicted, she finally said “enough is enough”… and she left me.  And I?…, I was clueless.

Writer’s Notes:

You don’t miss your water ’til your well runs dry.
You don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone.
Love is like air, you take it for granted ’til you’re no longer getting it.

The point is that many times men are so wrapped up in themselves (self gratification) that they take the person who is making it possible for them to be wrapped up in themselves for granted, then POOF… she’s gone.  That “little head’” can get you into BIG trouble. Now she’s out of your life forever! And you go to God, like you always do when you’re in trouble and as you should have been doing from the beginning.  But He might not bail your sorry ass out this time.

The Honey Do Man

Excerpt:

I fooled around and fell in love and I can’t even tell you when it happened.  It just crept up on me, caught me by surprise and blindsided me when I least expected it.  I thought I’d been on my guard against those kinds of forces.

Writer’s Notes:

Men do the vast majority of the things that they do for women in order to; to get their attention, to get their affection, and to get their love.  True the man is the head but the woman… she is the neck and the neck turns the head.  So whenever I am properly rewarded by my woman I gladly do whatever she needs me to do so that I can continue to get those rewards.  As a matter of fact… I need to get on my Honey Do List right now!

Hung

Excerpt:

I’ve never worked a nine to five, too much of a waste of time.  Too much of a waste of freedom. freedom to experience every girl in the world.  But I do work a ten to twelve and I work it every chance I get.  Know what I mean?  I am hung, H U N G.  Ain’t nobody bad like me, satisfaction guaranteed.

Writer’s Notes:

There is a term for it.  Dick-ma-tized.  I know you’ve heard of it before.  That’s what this brother is all about.  His job is to be in your space and the tool of his trade is his ‘tool’.   Men know this type of brother because we know men.  He talks a GREAT game, gives you his undivided attention for a little while, and he makes sure that the first time he has sex with you it’s the best you’ve ever had.  Then… it’s all hard dick and bubble gum… oh wait, he ain’t got no bubble gum.

Down Low Anxiety

Excerpt:

I’m a man who believes in giving women the respect they deserve.  Why then, can’t they do the same for me?  I mean this is America and in this country you are presumed innocent until proven guilty.  But men are constantly under siege by women who place them in the position of having to prove their manhood.
